No agency, no spokesperson

Press

We do not have a press office or a spokesperson, and there are no awards on this site because we have not won any.

If you are writing about vehicle repair, the right to repair, or the electronics inside farm machinery, telephone the workshop. We will answer a question plainly rather than in a quotation. We will not send you a customer's name, because we do not publish one — every example on this site is a composite and says so on the page.

The subjects we can actually say something useful about are narrow and we would rather say so than be quoted about something we do not know: what is inside a control unit and which failures are repairable; why a fault code is not a diagnosis; what happens to wiring in machinery that stands for nine months; and what it costs a farm when a machine stops in August.

Every case study on this site is an illustrative composite assembled from several jobs. No customer is named, no vehicle is identifiable, and there is not a single testimonial on this website attributed to a person — a fabricated one would be the one genuinely dishonest thing a workshop's website can do.

This is a demonstration website. Woodside Auto & Ag Electric is not a real business, an enquiry sent from this site reaches only a demonstration mailbox, not a workshop, and the telephone number is a placeholder. It was built to show what a small specialist workshop gets for a fixed price.

Describe the symptom, or just telephone

The symptom check takes about three minutes and gives you a written summary of which circuits would be tested first and why, with the hours and the published rate against each. It is an indicative scope and not a diagnosis — nobody has seen the vehicle — but it is a better opening than a blank contact form. If you would rather skip it, the telephone works.
