Every one of these costs us something, which is how you can tell they are policies rather than marketing. They are here so that you can hold us to them.
The diagnostic hour is charged and it is published
One hour at the rate for where it happens, agreed before it starts. If the fix takes under fifteen minutes it happens inside that hour. If the hour ends without an answer, you are told so rather than sold a second one.
Nothing is ordered before it is measured
No part is bought on the strength of a fault code. The circuit is measured first, and what the measurement was is written down where you can read it.
Work stops if it turns out to be worse
If a job is going past what the written note said, it stops and you get a telephone call. You will not find out from the invoice.
Parts are at cost plus twenty per cent, and both numbers are shown
There is no supplier rebate, commission or bonus behind any part fitted here. If there ever were, this sentence would have to come off the website, and we would rather keep the sentence.
You get the drawing and the photographs
Anything added is drawn, and anything repaired is photographed before it is wrapped up. It goes to you as well as into the folder, because the next person to work on it may not be us.
Thirty days on what we did
A repair we made that fails within thirty days is looked at again with no further diagnostic charge. That is a warranty on our work and not on the rest of the vehicle.
Nothing about a customer appears on this website
No names, no photographs, no testimonials. Every case study here is a composite of several jobs and is labelled as one on the page.
The thirty days, stated precisely
A repair we made that fails within thirty days is looked at again with no further diagnostic
charge. That is a warranty on OUR WORK. It is not a warranty on the rest of the vehicle, and a
workshop that offers one of those is offering something it cannot pay for.
The distinction matters most on an old harness. If we repair one section and another section
fails a fortnight later, that is a second fault rather than a failed repair — and it is
frequently a sign that the run needs rebuilding rather than repairing again, which is a
conversation we will have with you rather than an invoice you will discover.
You can stop at the end of the diagnostic hour. You pay for the hour, you keep the written note of what was measured, and you are free to take the vehicle and that note anywhere else.
Parts are at cost plus a published percentage. Parts are charged at what they cost us plus twenty per cent, and the invoice shows both numbers. We take no rebate, commission or bonus from any supplier for fitting one brand rather than another, and no manufacturer is named anywhere on this website.
$145 a workshop hour · $185 on site · agreed before it starts
Describe the symptom, or just telephone
The symptom check takes about three minutes and gives you a written summary of which circuits would be tested first and why, with the hours and the published rate against each. It is an indicative scope and not a diagnosis — nobody has seen the vehicle — but it is a better opening than a blank contact form. If you would rather skip it, the telephone works.
